Our Treatment Modalities
Trauma-Focused
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
TF-CBT is an evidence-based treatment for those impacted by trauma. It is a components-based treatment model that incorporates trauma-sensitive interventions with cognitive behavioral, family, and humanistic principles and techniques. TF-CBT has proved successful with those who have significant emotional problems (e.g., symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder, fear, anxiety, or depression) related to traumatic life events. It can be used with those who have experienced a single trauma or multiple traumas in their lives.
Gottman
Method
Gottman Method is a form of couples-based therapy and education that provide insight into the elements it takes for long-lasting healthy relationships among all types of couples across all phases of life. It aims to help you communicate and manage conflict effectively, increase intimacy, respect, affection, and understanding, push through stagnancy, and feel a true sense of partnership within your relationship. The Gottman Method is designed to support couples across all economic, racial, sexual orientation, and cultural sectors.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
DBT is a type of cognitive behavioral therapy. Dialectical behavioral therapy tries to identify and change negative thinking patterns and pushes for positive behavioral changes. It helps to teach you the skills to cope with and change unhealthy behaviors. You work to bring together 'acceptance and change' in your life.
Brainspotting
Where we look affects how we feel. Everything is connected. This is a brain-based therapy that uses gazing on a specific eye position to process and release internal blockages where trauma has been stored. This method works by accessing a deeper part of the brain (subcortical), taking us less time to get to deep rooted issue, and fosters the ability to heal faster than what talk therapy can provide alone. I integrate brain-spotting with many clients some more formally than others. The best part of this method is the flexibility! It can be used as much or as little as feels right for you!
